Who we are

fiaen is a brand run from Sweden. It is not a registered company yet. We decide how your details are used, so under the GDPR we are the controller.

What we collect

When you sign up on fiaen.com we save:

• your email address
• which form you used: the launch list or the scent quiz
• your quiz match, if you signed up after the quiz
• the sign-up wording you saw and the time you signed up, so we can show you agreed
• the country you signed up from, which our host works out from your connection

We do not save your IP address. Your quiz answers stay in your browser. We only save the match, and only if you sign up.

Why we use it

• To send you launch news and The Edit, once a month. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
• To keep proof that you agreed. Legal basis: our legal duties and our legitimate interest in showing we follow the law (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f)).

We do not sell your details and we do not use them for ads.

Who helps us

Two services help us run this. They only act on our instructions.

• Cloudflare: hosting, security and the sign-up database
• HighLevel: sending our emails

Both are US companies, so your details may be handled outside the EU. When that happens it is covered by approved safeguards: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email, your sign-up record and the date you left, for up to 2 years. That stops us emailing you again by mistake and shows we had your consent.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, move or delete your details. You can ask us to stop using them, or object to how we use them.

You can take back your consent at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to byfiaen@gmail.com. This does not change anything we did before you took it back.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Swedish data protection authority, IMY (imy.se), or to the authority in the country where you live.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no tracking or analytics. Our host, Cloudflare, may set a cookie that is needed for security, to stop bots. It does not track you.

Changes

If we change this notice, we update the date at the top.
